AMUI is operated by Alexandra Marcova as a Czech self-employed individual (OSVČ).

When you contact AMUI through the website, by email, or through another communication channel, the following personal data may be processed:

• name;
• email address;
• telephone number, if provided;
• company and website information, if provided;
• preferred communication language;
• project description and other information included in your message;
• files or documents you voluntarily attach;
• relevant technical and security information associated with the submission.

Purposes of processing

This information is processed in order to:

• receive, review and respond to your enquiry;
• evaluate a potential project or cooperation;
• prepare a proposal, quotation or other pre-contractual communication;
• take steps requested by you before entering into a contract;
• maintain records of relevant business communications; and
• protect the website and communication systems against spam, misuse and security threats.

Legal basis

Where your enquiry relates to a potential contract with you, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

In other cases, including enquiries made on behalf of a company or organisation, processing is based on AMUI's legitimate interests in communicating with prospective clients, evaluating business opportunities, keeping appropriate business records and protecting its services.

Enquiries that do not result in a client relationship are normally retained for up to 24 months from the last relevant communication, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary in connection with a dispute, legal claim or other legitimate business requirement.

Where an enquiry results in a contractual or client relationship, relevant communications and documents may be retained together with the corresponding client and accounting records for the period required by applicable law or reasonably necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Personal data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.

The website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic and protect forms against spam, abuse and malicious activity.

Turnstile may process technical signals such as the visitor's IP address, browser or user-agent information, TLS-related information and information relating to the website request.

AMUI uses this processing for the legitimate interest of protecting the website and its communication systems against abuse and security threats.

Cloudflare may process information in accordance with its own applicable privacy and data-processing terms.

The AMUI website is hosted using Vercel infrastructure.

In connection with providing, securing and operating the website, Vercel may process technical information such as:

• IP address;
• request and connection metadata;
• browser and device information;
• timestamps;
• diagnostic and security information; and
• server or application logs.

This processing is necessary for the operation and security of the website and is based on AMUI's legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure online service.

Contact-form submissions are delivered using Resend.

Workflow worksheet requests are delivered through Resend. An email address is required to receive the Excel workbook; survey answers and additional follow-up preferences are optional. After you confirm your address through an emailed link that expires after 24 hours, the worksheet is emailed to you and AMUI receives your verified email, any answers you submitted, and your selected follow-up preferences.

Survey answers help AMUI understand readers' workflow decisions. Any email follow-up is limited to the purposes you select: receiving survey findings or discussing your workflow. This does not subscribe you to a newsletter. You can withdraw your follow-up request or request deletion by contacting info@amuidesign.org.

Information submitted through the form, including the contents of the enquiry and any attachment, may therefore be transmitted through Resend's infrastructure before being delivered to AMUI at info@amuidesign.org.

AMUI does not intentionally store contact-form submissions or uploaded attachments in a separate website database solely as a consequence of submitting the form.

However, hosting, email and security providers may temporarily process or retain technical or message data as necessary to provide their services.

Attachments submitted through the contact form are optional.

Where a file is attached, it is processed for the purpose of reviewing and responding to the enquiry.

Visitors should not submit unnecessary sensitive or confidential personal information through the contact form.

AMUI may use website analytics and performance-measurement services to understand how the website is used and to improve its performance and usability.

Analytics services that are not strictly necessary are activated only after the visitor has provided the relevant consent through the website's cookie or privacy settings.

The website may use:

• Vercel Web Analytics;
• Vercel Speed Insights; and
• Google Analytics 4, where enabled in the production environment.

Google Analytics is configured so that it does not load before the relevant analytics consent has been given.

AMUI does not currently use Google Signals, advertising features, User-ID or user-provided advertising data through Google Analytics.

Where analytics processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through the website's cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

The website may use strictly necessary technologies required for security, functionality and remembering privacy choices.

Optional analytics technologies are used only where the visitor has provided the corresponding consent.

Personal data may be accessible to AMUI and to service providers that support the operation of the website and communications, including providers of:

• website hosting and infrastructure;
• website security and anti-abuse services;

• mailbox and communication services; and

Other information, including telephone number, company information, website information and attachments, may be optional.

If required information is not provided, AMUI may be unable to process or respond to the enquiry through the website.

AMUI does not use personal data submitted through the website to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects for visitors.

Automated security systems may be used to identify spam, bots or potentially malicious activity.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time where AMUI's services, website technologies, providers or legal obligations change.
